The best thing we did in this bathroom were those pull-out step stools! I thank Pinterest for that idea! Although, I saw where Joanna Gaines one-upped me by including a storage insert so it’s not a complete drawer loss. Of course she would… why didn’t I think of that?!?
This bathroom was tricky. Being Jack and Jill style, we had a lot of doors going on in there! So, I made both doors into the bedrooms pocket doors. The only swinging door we have divides the washroom to the toilet and shower. So far, it’s working out pretty well. I will say, I think pocket doors are harder to lock, so as the kids get older, we’ll see how they like it.
The focal point in here quickly become this distressed blue brick tile. Which is funny, because Outfitter man picked it out, and I originally thought it was awful! But he really liked it, and kept suggesting it. Clearly, I finally caved and now it’s one of the things people seem to like most in the house! I think what finally pulled it together for me, is when our tile installers suggested included it as a back splash in the shower. I love how this turned out!

My oldest is completely obsessed with all things construction. I knew I wanted to go this route for bathroom decor, but now had to tie it in with blue tile! I couldn’t believe when I found this cute set at Target! I’ve linked it below!
Our builder framed the mirror with matching wood to the storage cabinet. We used knotty alder for all stained wood in our house.
